Is there a reason why this is a png? It takes a great amount of time to load.

In fact, I would suggest getting rid of the "Intro" splash page all together. Just do a redirect to your /forum directory if that's all the splash page is there for.

I would also increase the width of your forums. It looks really skinny (like vb.org) on 1680 x 1050

Its PNG purely for quality, JPG had annoying pixelation around text.

The intro page did have more of a use when implemented, in that it directed visitors to different areas of the website. Recently however it became just forums as a result of a merger with another website - and I have to keep an advert on the splash page for a while due to agreement.

I polled the membership, majority voted in favour of a 'skinny' forum, but there is also the option for members to select a wide version skin.

Any further feedback appreciated.

The online stats are misleading though, it shows members as online up to half an hour from their last click, I think it was something I did to prevent users being logged out when in the arcade.
