Status Updates
 

Rightio. I've tried this using various methods. none of which work.
basically, i'd like to be able to use a Userfield as a Status sort of thing, a bit like facebook and twitter etc.

Now, I know there is a Modification that looks a little like twitter, fair play. BUT what I'm looking for is a method of being able to update the userfield data via ajax (just like facebook). I know fields can be updated in this manner by visiting your own profile on 3.7, I was just wondering, how can I pull just ONE of those fields and allow it to be updated in the navbar of any page in the same manner? (I plan on placing it next to the moods mod dropdown menu to create a myspace style status updater!)
