thread ignore?
 

I was just wondering if anyone has seen a mod that does this?

I think it would be a great idea, but I am not sure how long it will take before I can figure out how to produce results of my own of the sort...

the idea could be quite simple really...

when a member tells vb to ignore a thread it would first check for a subscription, if so then it would remove it, then for that user it would store the value of that thread...

then when the user goes to the new posts, or searches the forum the where clause would include a threadid <> $WhateverThreadNumber

and if it was really proper fancy it would somehow display a different thread icon... (just a thought)

unfortunately since I am a beginner with php I am not able to develop this mod myself yet...

has anyone else done it perhaps???

nevermind, it seems the similar threads feature has already answered my question :)

(yet I spent a bit of time searching for this... perhaps I should be looking for a "improved search function" mod for my site :\ )
