Any game that submits a score with decimals does not allow comments
Hello,
I just recently connected a trend and I'm not sure if this has already been reported, or can easily be fixed. I noticed any of my games that submit scores with decimal points, do not allow comments to be submitted after the game, in fact the high scores page shows up oddly, and you have to refresh it to see your score. It still saves, but if there is a decimal, no entering comments. I tested this theory with a game, and when it had no decimal points it worked properly for scoring, but once I added the decimals option, the scoring had this bug. I have only tried it with v32 games so far, I do not know if it also happens in non-secure scoring mode or not. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Any fix for it? |
I have tested v2 games as well now, and both produce the same problem. Also occuring on a friends' vBulletin setup. No fancy addons to interfere with the arcade, just vBulletin 3.7.0.

On a side note, if the user plays one of these games with this bug and the score happens to land on a perfectly rounded number, ie. 9122.00, they CAN submit a comment with their score. But if its 9122.01 or any other decimal point, they can't. This applies with any number of decimal places, not just 2.

VERY interesting, could you please send me such game that does this decimals ?
Please contact me via PM ... thanks |
I would like to add I have this problem too. Didn't realize it was decimal related.
MrZero I can pm you a game if you desire. |
Yep, I have this issue also. It happens on Olympic Discus Throw for example.
--------------- Added [DATE]1216037925[/DATE] at [TIME]1216037925[/TIME] --------------- It basically goes to this url autocom=arcade&do=savescore And it only shows the top score and dosent allow for comments. |
I might be having the same problem. On certain games, when a user tries to enter a comment after playing, it calls up a white screen saying that in order to post a comment, the admin has to put the url on a whitelist of some sort. Not all games do this. Most seem to, though.

I have this problem sometimes too, didn't know it was decimal related.

OK to further refine the problem it seems when a game is submitted with 2 decimal places.
A person with a score of 416.50 was able to comment but a person with a score of 406.52 was not. |
Oh, I also have the one score only problem sometimes, although I didn't know it was related to decimals or the like, and I hadn't tried adding comments (since it didn't show my score to begin with).
