Stars that don't shine :(

Y'all should get a laugh out of this but I promise I'm not trying to be funny :(

My site guru is not available to help me today. Something about him doing something with his family? How dare him

So, I just tried to do a fresh install after not being able to wait to try out the new domain name. After all is said and done the biggest problem I have now are these pesky stars that I assume mean I have a problem, see image below.

I'd really like to impress my friend so that when he asks if I had any trouble I can tell him it weren't no trouble at all. :)

Pleeeeaaaassseeeee help by pointing me in any direction except the north :(

this admin panel i.e. vBA CMPS gets created while installing vbadvanced.

It happens when some .XML files of vbadvanced are missing or not uploaded. Uninstall vbadvanced and reinstall and do not forget to upload all vba files

The cpnav xml is missing from the includes/xml directory. You forgot to upload it.

Questions regarding modifications should be placed in the modification thread from which you downloaded it.

With regards to your actual question: you need to install the modification as the phrases associated with the modification haven't been inserted into the database or remove the xml file associated with the modification from the includes/xml directory. (Depending on if you are installing or uninstalling a modification)

Post #4 has the correct answer.

You do have a cpnav_XXX.xml file for vBA, but the vBA product is not installed and because of this the phrases that should be shown in the menu are missing.

Solution: Install vBA, or remove the xml files from modifications that are no longer installed.

Thanks everyone for your help. My site junkie friend spotted the problem as soon as he looked at it. I had missed one of the steps in the instructions. When in doubt, read the wiki :(

When am I ever wrong Marco? :p
