Some quick questions on viewing IPs in vB 370 ...

Does anyone know why IP addresses show only in the most recent posts at the end of any thread!
Can I make IP addresses show on all posts?

Is there a span of time for viewing IPs in posts after which they disappear?
And can I control that span of time?

If you are talking about IP.gif, then it is present in every post of a thread.

there's nothing as such called span of time for viewing IP's !!

if you are logged in as admin, you sould be able to see IP's right beside your Report Post icon.

Thanks for responding! and yes I can see it, but only for the posts within an hour or so!!!

you mean.. the posts that are older than 1 hour or so does not display the poster's IP ?? or the IP.gif does not appear ??

if that is the case.. try disabling your mods (probably the latest ones that caused this problem) and then see !!

I mean the posts that are older than 1 hour or so do not display the poster's IP.

The mods have been installed long time ago before upgrading to to 370 Gold, and all of them (the mods) have been upgraded too, but this problem just surfaced now!

It should display on all posts. Try creating a blank style (set no parent), and view posts through that style.

Thanks, Dismounted, I created a blank style with no parent, but the problem is still there :(

Have you disabled your mods as advised ? there is little point in looking elsewhere until you do that and eliminate them as the cause.

I just did that, but it made no difference at all :(
