vB 3.7 Top Friends

What would be awesome is to give users the option to select their top friends. And not just a set number, but maybe 4-5 options of any amount divisible by 3.. or 4, depending if your style will allow 4, or however you mod your profiles as far as the friends list. Does anyone have the knowledge to pull this off?
