Allow users to selectively block/refuse PM's from other members

Allow a user to selectively block PM's from other members. Sometimes a user just doesn't want to communicate via PM with other members, but doesn;t necessarily want to put them on ignore, so it would be nice to have an option in user cp for a member to block another member from sending them PM's. Would also be nice to have two options:

1. When a user tries to send a PM to a blocked user, they would recieve the error message:
This user has decided to block Private Messages from you

or

2. There is no notification at all, but the PM does not get delivered to the user who has blocked the other user.

It would depend on whether the user wanted the other person to know they were blocking their PM's or not.

For the first option this is already embedded by default just go into the edit ignore list and add the user they wish to ignore.

Yeah, but what if they want to still see the other people's posts? If they put them on ignore, then they wont see their posts..

I would think a hack like that could really get abused.

Nah, see it would 'prevent' abuse - we have issues with people not posting mean or borderline posts out on the boards, because my diligent mods will get it right away, and they'll be on moderated - so they try to sneakily send mean things via PM - and we still end up figuring it out, but then it takes a lot more time to examine the PM's, see who sent who what, etc.. a lot more time and effort on the staff. Plus there are certain people who will spar with each other on the boards, within limits, and that's okay, and they just want to make sure the other person doesn't attack them in PM.

Or say you have an ex on the boards - and you don't care if your ex posts, or replies to threads you have posted in, you don't want them on ignore, but you just don't want them PM'ing you.. if you could block them from sending you PM's, would that be a bad thing?

That's precisely what the Report Bad PM hack was written for. ;)
