Viewing permissions
 

Is there a way to set the forum so that visitors can view the forum names, but when they click on to read a thread and posts, it directs them to register?

I tried setting it to no on can view forum, this takes them directly to a login page when they open the forum url.

I also tried setting it to no on "can view thread content" and "can view other's threads" That just made some of the threads "private" and others were still available for them to read.

<a href="https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=172989&highlight=redirect+registe r" target="_blank">This</a> hack can be of some help to you.. by default it would redirect if anyone tries to reply, search and so on, but you can easily modify it to do so from showthread and showpost

also do not forget to disable posts/thread viewing of guests.. this way.. if anyone tries to read a thread/post , he would be redirected to register page.
