Will Vbulletin do this....
 

Hello,

I have a website called Goldbuddies (www.goldbuddies.com). Currently I have setup a free forum (Phorum) but it is pretty basic. Here is what I need to ask if vBulletin can do..

I want a bulletin which is integrated into my website and allows people to talk, share knowledge and eventually meet to go gold prospecting. I'd like some sort of way for people to give each other kudo's and ratings - this is so that "Prospector Bill" who helps everyone and is really nice, becomes a trusted member and people can see this by an icon, a rating or something like that.

This is not a dating service.. but I guess a Sport Buddy Friend service..

This is what I want to do, can Vbulletin do this with minor modification?

with this full featured addon, you can create any kind of event in the calendar, and ask people to sign if they plan to attend to the event... there are reminders or all sorts, and you can give more by adding another addon related to this one which is the Calendar to Forum Events...

I'd have to say, yes.

With the release of 3.7 the social networking side of the forums is a lot more prominent.
