ban url

How can you ban some urls so they wont be displayed on your forums and turn into http ***** (and no link!).

Saw that on a forum.
I think its not done with censored words right?

I could not find anything.

Censor the word. Make sure that you are specific though. If you ban the word ban bandaid will be **daid.

Its done with censored words only !!

suppose you censor a word called shoes, then the link, if contains the word shoes instead of displaying as http://www.shoes.com would display as http://www.****.com

AdminCP > vBulletin Options > vBulletin Options > Censorship Options > Censored Words

Try entering the end of the url e.g. "vbulletin.org"

The other option is to use Replacement Variables and then you can have it spit out whatever you want.

You will need to add it to the list.

erdiyilmaz 06-12-2008 07:06 AM

thank you,
but when i add characters with spaces l i n k to "Censored Words List", like this;

http://img507.imageshack.us/img507/8231/41674072fa9.jpg

in my forum, all words are blocked which are containing l i n k characters.

for example; when user write; i love you it can be seem like this;

Quote:

* *ove you
i want to only block; l i n k but i can't do this

Wired1 06-12-2008 07:14 AM

Add l i n k to the replacement variables list.

erdiyilmaz 06-12-2008 07:18 AM

I can block sensor only when the item link.com written like this.

if there is space between the capitals (e.g: l i n k . c o m)

I cannot block them.
