Is it posible to run two versions of vBulletin on same DB?

We are currently updating our trashed vB 3.0 to 3.7 and wonder if it is possible to connect both boards to the same db while working on the new site?

We are running the old forum on one domain and the new test site on a subdomain. The plan is to just re-direct the domain name to the new fully functional 3.7

So is is possible to connect the new board to the old DB while the old forum is still running?

And do we need to create all forum sections in the new install or will those come along with the DB?

Thankful for any hints and tips on how to do this.

Duplicate your database, and test 3.7 on that duplicate. They will most likely not work together as the database schema has changed significantly since 3.0.
