Latest Threads Question
 

Hello everyone,
I thank you for taking the time to check out my post, this is an important question - It has been bugging me for days and I have been trying to sort a resolution to it.

I am looking for a Latest Threads thing, which I can put on my website (which is a non-vb page) where it will get the latest 5 forum threads (a vb forum) and display them on the page.

I have found a modification or two on here however they dont automatically update - which means you need to put a reload php code into the page where even if using as an include reloads the whole page - I dont want to do that I just want to have the section on my websites front page where if a new forum topic is posted/ or a reply or something it automatically updates it in the Latest Forum Threads section on my nonvb page.

Can this be done, Can you help me? Please I would really like to get this to work so it will improve stats on my site - rather than the whole page having to be reloaded. If possible I would also like a solution that is easy to modify (eg: What forums if you want to be specific, along with the style so I can help make it suit the website layout)

Please any help would be greatfully appreciated.

im guessing you have but it up dates fine for me, no code needed.

From my understanding that only works on forum home - however I want this stuff to be on a non VB page.

Have you looked in the Articles forum for help? Create "Latest Threads" Custom Page

Although I got it to work no matter what I did they still came up messy so I may just abandon the idea. Thanks for your help anyway

I do it with RSS feeds and then cache the results to update every 5 minutes or so.
