How come vBulletin.org doesn't use vBulletin 3.6.10?

Even though it was released to fix what they said was a somewhat serious security issue? Isn't that potentially unsafe?

Upgrading vbulletin.org is much more complicated than a standard upgrade due to all the non standard features it has.

I am sure they will upgrade in due course when the time is available.

I'm sure people ask this every time vBulletin release a new version. Lol. It was only released 2 days ago.

There are quite a few changes that need to be made through our custom modifications. This isn't as easy as a minor upgrade where only a few changes need made. This update will be made in due time.

Surprising as this may be to some - we do actually have lives outside of vb.org

It will be upgraded as and when time permits.

It's not actually a serious security issue, it could probably be classified as low/moderate.

Nonetheless we recommend that all boards upgrade to the latest version as soon as they get around to it.

There is no security hole with previous versions at all. The new added option is just to increase security of your board.

Wrong. Did you even read the announcement?

Well the confusion remain in how they said it and how they acted, but as Paul remarked vB.org it's a special situation and action will be taken.

would be simplier to have a statement on why not, and tag it in front of everybody when an upgrade is provided... this question comes 10 times each here and then.
