Search Engine Friendly Archive urls difference
here at vbulletin.org your archive urls are archive/index.php/f-51.html
my archive urls are archive/index.php?f-51.html Is there a reason for this or is something wrong with mine? |
What version of vb are you running? I'm running 3.6.8 and mine are like you see them here.
|
I'm running 3.6.9 I'm pretty sure it was like it is here when I had 3.6.8
|
I have a test site running 3.7 beta 2 and it is also like the links are here. I would guess that you modified your code somewhere. You may want to try turning off your plugins and see if the links go 'back to normal'.
(They are running 3.6.9 here.) |
Yep, that was it, my DaniWeb plugin is the culprit although it doesnt do any rewrite for the archive, Ill have to investigate.
I do wonder if I should turn it off now I using url rewrite, what do you think? |
I'm not familiar with the DaniWeb plugin so I really don't have an answer for you.
|
I'm beginning to wish I never installed it.
|
Well, you could always try running your site without it for a few days and see if you can do without it.
|
Im very tempted but Im worried that google etc will get a bit mad at me for chucking loads inaccessible urls at them.
|
I must have made a mistake, It isn't the rewrite plugin causing this problem.
I turned all my products and the hook system off. I also reverted back to the default templates but the archive still has the wrong urls. |
