user login doesn't works anymore

I had to change some phrases directly in my database (FORUM_phrase table). I translated some phrases to polish and put them into the table. Please don't ask why directly in database.


After that, (but I'm not sure) I can't login into the board.
Whatever I write in login fields, it give me:

"Wrong username or password. You have used up your failed login quota! Please wait 15 minutes before trying again. Don't forget that the password is case sensitive. Forgotten your password? Click here!"

Please help if you can!

Sorry but i have to ask why. There is really no valid reason to edit directly in the database and will most likely casue problems like you are experiencing.

To troubleshoot this, please create a new Style with no Parent set. Now browse the forum using this new style, do you still have the same problems? If you are troubleshooting login or guest issues, you will need to set this style as board default in the vBulletin Options.

I've made it, because I'm working on a login and registration integration with our board. I use methods from datamanager. But warnings/alerts during login/registration appear in english even if I translate it in phrase manager. So I decided to translate it directly in db. I know - it was stupid, but now it's too late to complain ;]

I did it. No reaction.

First edit and save any phrase. This should rebuild the phrase cache. Now test again.

I've edited some phrases in both - Language and Phrase Manager, using 2 different styles to be sure.

Still the same.

!!!We've got a test forum (copy of existing) on a local server which using the same database.
And it works.

Give the production board time to timeout the login strikes.

So I've changed settings -> disabled strike system and now it works.
I thik it is just a coincidence, that it failed when I change the phrases in DB.

Unfortunetly, it worked fine till today and our admin says that he doesn't changed anything on the servers.
