** I Posted this at PHPPortals, but figured this has a larger user base and maybe someone can help **

I've talked about this before, but now I'm interested in seeing if someone can build this. I'm willing to pay some money as it would help me and some friends out. It's funny the things you will pay for that will get you no money in return. I guess it's just about the fun.

Basically, I'm looking for the following :

I want to be able to have multiple PhpPortal "Home" pages based on different forums. Including news, active topics, Old News, Polls and Calendars...

For instance forums 1 - 15 are for one Home page

Forums 20 - 30 are for another home page

and so one.

Does anyone think they can do it? I'm not looking to do anything too crazy as far as other hacks are concerned, I would just like the ability to take multiple home pages off one vBulletin database.

If you have any interest in this, please feel free to email me.

Thanks,

Josh

Anyone?

Josh

I would have thought someone would have been interested in this. The purpose of this is not to really get around having multiple versions of vBulletin, but actually having one "jumping off point" that would allow central control over many like minded sites. I'm actually not even trying to make any money off this if you can believe that. I am however willing to put a some of my own money into it. I've put together a forum for my Neighborhood community. I've had some other people in other communities ask if I could do the same. I would make things much easier if I could put them in one and centrally manage them all through one place.

I really would appreciate any help and if you do want to help please let me know how much it would cost. The worst I can say is that it is too expensive. :D

Thanks,

Josh

there was a hack for 1.1.x versions but not for vB 2

JoshFink 05-27-2001 05:56 PM

Really? There was a hack for 1.1. I didn't know PHPPortal was even released for 1.1.X .. Either way, do you know who did that hack or is there anyone out there willing to do a hack?

Josh
