splitting a large board into two
Hi all, can someone tell me if i can use the same db for 2 seperate boards on seperate servers, ill explain, we have 3 servers a p4 for db a big opteron for webserver, and a shiny new dual p4 with fast disks...
we have a large forum with over 400gb of attachments, the forum has 2 main sections, a free section with 20% attachments and 80% of our traffic and a premium section with 80% attachments and 20% traffic. we want to seperate the sections onto the seperate servers, i know this will mean 2 licences, and thats not an issue, but im not sure how to do it... any help would be great. You'd have to set up some kind of replication to sync the tables.
