Is vb 3.7 grabbing Klicks??

1 Attachment(s)
Hi there,

I got the following Problem, when inserting thumbnails wihich are linking to fullsize Pics...

Right after this textline, i will insert one of those thumbnails, and as attachment, i will show you whitch code i used, to explain whats going wrong...

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2008/04/30.jpg

But klicking on the Thumbnail doesn't bring me to the fullsize image, just opening the thumbnail in same window :erm:

What the hell am i doing wrong?

EIDT: If you keep your mouse over the thumbnail and look where your klick should bring you to, and compare it with what really happens... you'll be surprised, because its showing the url of the fullsize image... So i think that clicking on that image should bring me to the fullsize, not? Instead i get shown the thumbnail only in clean same window...

If you are inserting attachments use the [attach] BBCode. (You will find it in the advanced editor.)

The image you actually posted is hosted elsewhere, it is a link to the thumbnail not a link to the full size image.

On second thoughts this isn't even default vBulletin functionality is it? This is an issue with vBImgHost or some modification you have installed to upload pictures. You should consult the modification authors about your issue.

You are wrong. Look at the screenshot, what i have entered before posting. You see, its not a link to the thumbnail!

Is there even a thumbnail function given? Or will the attachment show up fullsize?

It is a link to a thumbnail:

http://....../imagehosting/thum_.......jpg

Also this should be asked at ImageHosting, not vBulletin.

Please see the last paragraph of my previous post. (The previous two paragraphs above it were based on my assumption you were using vBulletin's attachment functionality.)

doesnt anybody want to understand the problem???

It doesn't matter if i used vbimagehosting or ANY ELSE EXTERN Image hoster.

The vbcode that is used doesnt work.

Somebody please try to insert an imageshack thumbnail linking to fullsize pic, then you will see.

that code works in all Forum Softwares i know, . Why not in VB ??? There must be a bug i think.

This image for example is LINKED to:

But what shows up when klicking it? :)

By the way, try rightclick an open in new window - wooow it works - but thats not useful, should even work by cklicking left mouse.

Its because vB.org resizes images that are too large, therefore they direct the user to the full size image if the image is clicked. The image direct overrules the [URL] code and so that is why you get directed to the thumbnail.

I tried what you mentioned on vBulletin 3.7 Release candidate 1 and didn't get the same outcome. What version are you using?

3.7 RC 1

Maybe the resize image script is disturbing? Isnt there one integrated?

I remember having tried the resize img hack with lightbox... but it isnt more installed.
