Something to share (not sure workable?)
 

Hi all,
I am sure many vbulletin owners out there like me is looking at how we can make use of facebook however there is some problems for such integration to work, for example, facebook doesn't have a parameter for email field to parse.

I know some might just create a form and let user enter the details manually, although it can work but still not ideal cos eventually, it should be at a click of a button and registration will be done for the user automatically.

Something just cross my mind, how about looking up at the cookie created by facebook? I noticed its under this login_x field (format in userid%40email_provider.com) ... probably we can get the email of this facebook user from the cookie, and the rest of the necessary information that your forum requires from the facebook account information instead.

Not sure if you get what i am trying to say here, so any experts care to share if my idea will work?
