Text to Speech for vB?
Hi, I was wondering if there is any modification for text-to-speech on vBulletin, or if anyone has any ideas on how to do this...
I'm looking for some sort of easy-to-use way for users to have posts read out to them, without having to use a screenreader. I've come across free software which can convert text to speech, such as yakitome.com and readthewords.com, but was wondering if any attempt has been made to integrate speech-to-text into vB. The idea behind it is to create forums which can be easily accessed by people with intellectual disabilities and/or vision problems. For example, an easy-to-spot button at the top or bottom of each post which, when clicked, reads the post out loud. I'm wondering if such a modification exists already, or if anyone is working on such a mod, or if there are plans for this in future versions of vB (as standard)? Any help would be appreciated :)! |
I have not seen any modification that does this, nor know any in development.
