Yeah, I wish to install this now that im running 2.0 few questions first off. Ummm, does it work fine for 2.0? Most important, do I need to move my files from /fourm to the main DIR for the forums to work? Or can I leave them, and still have the portal at my main index file? If I DO have to move them, how will have effect my DB, and what will it conflict if I just move all the files?
Thanks, snyx PS Lets see some hacks updated to vB2.0 all you writers! :D |
snyx,
shouldn't this question be asked... at the phpportals.com website... where the developer and users can give you feedback.. not everyone here uses it... yet :D Anyways... the script is in development right now to work... so check with http://www.phpportals.com for updates... the site itself is beta running on the new retail of 2.0.. so it does work.. to answer your question :) |
vB is vB, vBportal its a hack, this is a hack section.

I have vbulletin installed in my root directory and so is vbportal. I liked this approach much more than keeping vbulletin in a directory called forum. I did a fresh install, so I don't know what it will take to move it. I would also wait just a couple of days before doing the install. Wajones has done alot of different upgrades on his site which haven't made it into the portall script yet.

It seems to be possible to just have the PHPPortal as an entrance and leave the Forums untouched - i am gonna try this too..
