Edit permissions for Moderators

I want to allow Moderators to edit and soft-delete other people's posts.

I go here:
Usergroups / Usergroup Manager / Moderators / Edit Usergroup
and all I see are things like Can View Forum, Can View Thread Content, etc.

I go here:
Forums & Moderators / Show All Moderators / Joe Schmoe / Edit Permissions
and I see Can Edit Posts, Can Delete Posts -- just what I want, but only for Joe Schmoe or whichever individual I choose.

How do I set Can Delete Posts etc. for the whole Usergroup (Moderators, in this case)?

Thanks,
Brenda

For Moderators you can't do it as a usergroup since those are permissions only given to them as a moderator in that specific forum. If you want them to be able to do that in every forum, you need to either add them as a moderator to every forum or make them a super moderator.

Thanks. How can I do what I want, then: modify all the high-level permissions for a particular usergroup?

I want a distinct usergroup for which I can edit everyone's Can Delete Posts permissions.

Being able to delete someone else's post is not a usergroup permission. It is a Moderator permission per forum, in which case you edit the Moderator's Permissions in that forum to be able to delete other users posts (Forums & Moderators > Show All Moderators > Moderators > find them in the list and edit permissions for the forum), or it is a Permission you edit for the user if you make them a Super Moderator (Forums & Moderators > Show All Moderators > Super Moderators > find them in the list and edit permissions for that user and it will effect all forums).

So I can only modify those permissions for individuals, not for whole usergroups or whole forums?

Correct.
