Experienced person to do SMF to VB install

So I got sent over here to .org for asking this question on .com... dont know if im breaking the rules over here too.. sorry if I am, I just want to find someone who can help

Hey everyone,

I currently have an SMF forum www.stuntride.com and I would love to switch to VB but I want a reliable experienced person to do the switch (save the member names etc) and also be around for random updates here and there.

I would also like some help on the styling of the boards after the install and addition of ad banners and adsense

edit- I want to use the vbadvanced portal as well

who can do it and what would the cost be?

Thanks!
Thomas

and I know im "Showing Up As Unlicensed?". I want to discuss these things before I go buying the product and cannot find someone reliable to do the work

You'll be able to find someone very easily once your licensed and are able to post in the service request forum and receive PMs of different offers from people.

Good luck :)

Thanks for the reply, that seems to be a part of the problem, if its going to cost a rediculous amount of money and be a hassle I dont want to buy it..

but if someone who is experienced (maybe a few people) could give me a few suggestions/approximations on time and price and reassure me that it will be easily done and inexpensive and that all the info from the SMF boards would be retained, then I would buy it right now

catch 22 I guess, I mean who wants to buy something that they might not want to use

Depending on who you choose, different people charge different amounts. Be cautious of who you choose however, you'll want to find someone with experience and who can be trusted wiht your data

Good luck. Its totally worth every penny

thanks.. ill ask around on a few boards that I know people on and then probably buy it and come back here as a licensed person and maybe get a little more love..

honestly the whole "we cant really talk to you about it, until you buy it" is kinda disheartening.. not from you personally, just from browsing .com mostly

The reason for that is to stop users who sign up that run pirated boards from having access to support. It isn't mean to be disheartening at all.

gotcha, I understand, and im glad you guys can see where im coming from as well... why pirate something that you can get for $180.. lol

theres all types of people in the world I guess..

I have gathered that there are plenty of people who can do the work, im assuming the switchover would be under or about $500 plus incidentals afterwards when I need some addons etc

now let me ask this..

What can be retained from my smf board in terms of members, post counts, posts, etc?

King Kovifor 04-11-2008 03:08 AM

That can be found in the ImpEx manual. I am on a crappy computer and can't grab a link for you.

DSOG Thomas 04-11-2008 06:37 PM
