Sort forums & sub forums by title

We have our forums and sub-forums ordered by their sortorder on the home page. Because of this they are not arranged alphabetically. I want the forums & sub forums ordered by title. I don't want to spend time changing the sort order in the forum manager. Is there an easier way to handle this? How to do it? My threads and posts are ordered by the last post time and i want to keep them that way.
