Trying to hack my AdminCp

Hey all,
Somebody is trying to hack my admincp account again and again.

Basically, he is logging into the admincp account ( i dont know how ), and is playing with my forums.

What should i do?

Change your password?

sherytiger 04-09-2008 09:01 AM

I did changed the password of admincp.
But he is logging into the admincp from other accounts.

Is he actually logging in or is he just attempting to?

It would be best at this point to rename the admincp folder and change the name of the folder name in the includes/config.php file for vb and resave it, then set up htaccess protection for the new folder as well.

From other Admins? They need to change their passwords as well.

Dismounted, I only have 1 admin besides myself, and i already changed his password but the hacker hacked the website again.

And he is threatening me again and again that he can easily hack my website, is it because i am using vBulletin 3.6.1?

Firstly, i was having the MYSQLDUMPER folder inside my forums, then i deleted it but the hacker is again telling me that he will hack my website!

He probably has your MySQL username and password. You should change them. Also, where's the site hosted? Are they trustworthy?

sherytiger 04-11-2008 04:34 AM

Yes they're trustworthy, and i've already changed the pwd of mySQL database too.

What mods do you have installed? Also you should update to the latest vbulletin.
