URL's in threads?

I wrote a thread on my forum with a link in it to www.MYBF.co.uk and the link somehow automatically changed to the TITLE of that domain   and looked like this My Business Forum | Business Forums for YOUR business | MYBF.co.uk

Which setting to I have to change (and where is it) to stop that from happening

thanks in adv........

Since this isn't something that vbulletin did, you will need to find out what hack you installed to do this and then post in that hack thread (or forum) for instructions.

I didn't realise that I have installed any hack that would do this - the forum is somehow importing the TITLE of the page from whatever link I post... eg: if I post one to this forum instead of saying vBulletin.org it comes up as vBulletin.org Forum - The Official vBulletin Resource! so it must be doing something in order to actually retrieve that information from the site

I made an example... http://www.mybusinessforum.co.uk/cof...test-post.html
the only content on that page is
www.vbulletin.org
www.google.com
www.mybusinessforum.co.uk

everything else has appeared my magic!

All fixed... I found a setting in vbSEO that was auto set to change urls to add a keyword rich impoted title... why that would be set by default is totally beyond me as it totally messes up the link !! but never mind - all done now

thanks for your advice Lynne.

Is there a hack or a way to have this done in vBulletin without vbSEO?

<a href="https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=91395&highlight=parse+url" target="_blank">https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showt...ight=parse+url</a>

Start here...
the effect is called 'autoparse urls'

Thanks iogames, I'll take a look around.

Nope...still didn't get it.

Anyone know where I can find the mod where it does what it describes in the first post.
