Simple Gradient Background [please help]

I'm trying to make a simple gradient background like the one here on vbulletin.org but I would like it to fade from black into #303B4A (dark blue). I've kind of got it figured out but I can't figure out how to make it so that it fits my forums correctly. I would GREATLY appreciate any help give.
