Make code tags work correctly, or disable HTML in a post?
How do I make (code) (/code) tags actually do their job and not process BBCode and HTML inside them?
Also, how do I add options like these to every post: [ ] Disable BBCode in this post. [ ] Disable HTML code in this post. I thought those were pretty standard forum options these days, but apparently not. :( Your help is greatly appreciated. |

[code][/code] tags are meant to process BBCode not sure if they are processing HTML but that is probably because you have enabled people to post HTML. You can use the [noparse][/noparse] tags to prevent the parsing of BBCode, not sure how these affect HTML but then again it shouldn't be enabled. But please, disable HTML posting. I haven't come across a modification that allows you to control BBCode on a per post basis, you might be able to find one by searching. |
If you don't want bbcode to be parsed in the code tag, I believe you can use the [ noparse ] tag.

The frustrating part is that there is no option on a per post basis to disable HTML like most forum software has had for YEARS. I don't understand this. And thanks for the (noparse) suggestion, but it still results in HTML code being parsed. :( |
I have the same issue. I would like to unparse html (convert to palin text) with tags, but unparse-tag does no do the trick. Any help here?
