Can external.php be modified to filter by usergroup?
I'd like to use external.php to get the latest posts from a specific usergroup or set of userids. It can already get posts from a specific forum, I know that much. I've taken a look at the code and while I understand what it's doing, I don't know enough PHP to add the functionality I want. Does anyone here know how I could add this functionality to external.php?

That's not what I need, but thanks anyhow. That restricts who cans view the RSS feeds. I don't need that. I need to be able to scrape an RSS feed that only contains posts from a specific usergroup.
