3.6.9 upgrade
Are we allowed to ask for support here?
|
Sure, as long as you are showing as licensed.
What is your question? Regards Jason :) |
Durrr he must be licensed if he can post here. http://www.level2gaming.com/images/s.../final/lol.gif
Yes 3.6.9 is fully supported so feel free to post. |
Bradley, please don't be rude. Users can still post here, even if they are unlicensed, well so I believe.
Regards Jason :) |

you can't post in certain sections nor view code and quotes or downloads. i tried it back in the days when i didn't have vb. |
Ah, I see. Well, there is a few forums you can post in, even if you are unlicensed.
No problem! :) Regards Jason :) |
My question was that do you "drag the whole of the upload folder" to public_html and then press overwrite *all*?
and the config.php file, do you have to edit it manually adding the permissions and database names etc like when you first install vb and it asks you to edit the config file? |
Yes, but make sure you rename the upload folder to match your forums directory. The new config.php will be called config-sample.php, so you will need to edit that and input your database details, ect. Then you can delete your current config.php.
After, you will need to run www.yourdomain.com/install/upgrade.php and follow the upgrade script. Then you're done! Regards Jason :) |
(Somebody posted in this forum yesterday and had their thread closed because they were unlicensed, so Jason's statement was legit.)
