Mods takes ages to upload
 

When I try to add new mods to my forum and upload a medium sized mod the VB hangs on the install screen and takes ages to finish. During this time the server load shoots up to 8 times what it is normally and this lasts for about 20 minutes.

Do I have too many mods? I have around 40 mods installed. Some big but mostly small one's.

My forum also has over a million posts and is about 4 gigabytes worth of data. Is this normal behaviour because of the size of my board?

If the mod makes a database change, that could explain the long load time with a site as bit as yours. However, I'll add that my site has over 800,000 posts and I think about a 2GB database and I've never had this sort of load time.
