Sorry to hear about the bad luck. That's one of the more elaborate scams I've seen lately.

That's rather pessimistic, isn't it?

Some call it pessimistic, some call it realistic.

It is an old truth, that is even more actual in the internet age then it has ever been.

yeah but in this case, My ad sales were to go up alot in the month of December/January as my traffic almost doubled from last year when I was getting $300. They also had ads in more spots, and had them positioned well. They actually sounded very professional. It actually didnt sound to good to be true, it sounded realistic. However I have learned a lot, and will ensure this will never happen again, but it is not as simple as going with your heart and thinking if it is too good to be true.

Well, I signed up for the 'Affiliate Program' with TollFreeMax.com for Toll Free Numbers for companies, and I'm supposed to earn $30 usd for each sign up/referral, and I made 3 accounts for friends which I help with their Corps/LLCs etc...
so one month later, just chit-chat and no $$$...

He approached me a couple months ago. I was skeptical at first, but I figured I'd try using them in a couple of my ad spots.

No statistical data was provided as to how well the ads were performing, and it took me forever to get an answer out of the guy. A week later, I found out he also ran those two sites, which is when I pulled the ads. We've actually had some spam problems on our PSP related IRC network with users from that PSPCrazy site. Also, this was the last email I received:

Never got the check for $68.32... and it's mid-April now?

EDIT: Well, resolved now... I finally received payment.
