SMS notice on new subscribed forums
 

Hi there,

I would like to know if you guys have ideas if there is a way to implement SMS notices on new threads/posts on subscribed forums. Same goes with new PM's too.

I realize that it might require some sort of a "bridge" between your site and a mobile operator to allow SMS sending, but I am lost on ideas on even how could this be started. I may be even completely wrong on this, I don't know :)

Not to hijack the thread... but I'd like to know about bridging vbulletin with SMS also. But my purpose would be to verify someone's mobile phone number during user registration.

There was an SMS mod few days ago, but it got removed right away.

I am still interested in my initial request.. Any links to that.
