Field Required Choices

Group,

When creating a required profile field, in the "Field Required" setting I get the choices of...

Yes at registration and profile updating

Yes, Always

No

No, But display at registration

My question is, is there anyway to have the choice of "Yes at registration only"? What about editing some code can i accomplish this that way?

Set it to "Yes, at registration and profile updating", then change "Field Editable by User" to "Only at registration".

Thanks for the reply but that doesn't answer my question.

You must have skimmed through it very quickly and did not catch the important part of "Yes at registration only".

Ok Mr Know it all, Everyone just has to be a smart *** around here.

I know about that field and that is what I have selected already along with the "Yes at registration and profile updating", if it worked I wouldnt be asking this question (original thread), go ahead try getting rid of the issue of those existing members not having anything in this custom private field and are required to enter something in it upon profile updating! This is where the problem lays.

This is why I need this to be for "Yes at registration only". and not "Yes at registration and profile updating".

I guess you would need a custom modification for that =)
