changing ids of threads

xenon released a hack a long time ago where you could change the id of a thread to another user.Is there anything available for 3.6.8 which would do this as i have a few threads that i need to add to a new id.

change thread author id ?!

i do not understand the exact need you have, so i suppose it is...

yep author id.

Infact here is the orginal hack but its for an old version of vb - https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=61412

Just wondering if anyone done an updated one.

Jase2 03-29-2008 08:39 PM

I don't think anyone has updated one for 3.6.8.

You could do this within the database -- but why do you need to change the author?

Regards Jason :)

Yeah can do within database but xenons hack allowed it to be done quite easily within a thread.

Have you tried that hack on a test board?

Regards Jason :)

The easiest way, would probably not to mess with the thread, but the first post. If you change the first post posters ID from 1 to 2, then it now becomes user 2's post.
