How do Warez forums get legit licenses ??
 

Some of you may have seen my forum, well it's to help other vB owners optimize their sites..
Anyways.. I have a group that I give the most access to, that are all confirmed vBulletin owners, either via a username on the .org or the .com..

So, I've been manually confirming vB owners all this time and time to time I get a user with a warez forum.. Well I'd like to know why vBulletin.com would sell a licnese to an admin that is going to give away stolen goods on their forums... Doesn't it look bad on vb.com if they allow this ?
I just don't get it.. what ticked this thread off was a member signed up today with a waraz forum with the word warez in the url! and I banned them, they then emailed me asking why they were banned, that they have a legit license..

What can we do to stop all the warez sites ? I know we can report them to Howard at www.piratereports.com but he is a busy man.

fyi,, I ban and delete all post/threads of any user that I suspect oh using warez... I've worked far to hard on my site, I don't need to give a thief access to all our files. :mad:

vBulletin sells licenses to people who buy them. You just add your domain after purchasing.

why would you worrie?.. as long as they dont put links to w/z on your forum i dont see a problem..

Don't get angry, but i am going to close this thread. Asking things like "why does jelsoft/vBulletin" should be asked on the one place where they can and will respond to such questions: vBulletin.com (or if needed a support ticket). I suggest you repost on vBulletin.com forums.

Just a few notes:
You can not confirm it in this way. Both sites have licensed and unlicensed members. You can not see the difference between them.

Please do not report directly to Howard (unless specifically asked to do so). If you suspect a site, then please report it to: Report Piracy Reporting directly to him only causes more work in his already busy schedule. ;)
