Improved Threaded Mode

Hello,

I saw the Threaded Forum Views here: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthrea...light=threaded

and I was wondering if it's possible to make the posts themself collapse using javascript

I couldn't find a English version (didn't look good enough I guess), but here's an Hebrew version, just scroll to the middle and you'll see all the posts, and if you click one, it simply shows the content:
http://www.ynet.co.il/home/0,7340,L-1820-16098,00.html

can it be done ?

Are you saying you want to open up a thread and have all the posts 'collapsed' and then click on the post 'title' (I would think you need to make sure every post has a title) and have just that post 'open'?

no,
I want all of the threads in a forum will be in a tree with their posts,
and I'll be able to collapse the posts to see their content

check out my example

Ah, OK. I really couldn't tell what was up in the link you provided.

so, can it be done with vB or does that require a mod?
is there such mod out there? :)

Lynne 03-26-2008 04:40 PM

It can be done, I'm sure, but yes, it would require a mod and I don't know of a mod like that.

where can I request for such thing?

Lynne 03-26-2008 07:05 PM

You may request in either Modification Requests (Unpaid) or Requests For Paid Services.

(You may want to explain it a bit better though. For instance, looking on that site, I can't tell which are threads and which are posts. And, are all the posts listed under the threads or just a certain amount? And what is the + and - next to some of the threads/posts? It's just really not clear to me at all what is going on on that page. However, maybe that is just me.)
