Logo won't load
 

I searched the forums here and tried all the different methods for a logo change. It seems the file path change has been recognized, but when I refresh my webpage, the logo won't load.

I even replaced the original file with an upadated logo and switched the file path back to default. Nothing seems to be working. My homepage loads with an empty box with a red x in it.

The only thing I can think of is that it's not accepting the image. I edited the psd that came with my skin and saved it as .gif. All I did was change the text and saved, no size or pic changes. Any help would be VERY much appreciated!

Are you clearing your browsers cache?

Have you changed the options in "all style options"??

Styles Manager - Choose the skin you want the logo on - Dropdown Menu - All style options - Scroll down to where the banner file name is - Rename the banner file to what the logo is called.

First question, are you just changing the images extention name (example: .png to .gif) without having it properly exported to that format. If you are just changing the name of logo.psd to logo.gif then it will never work.

It has to be converted through software such as photoshop or fireworks.

Now if you have doen that then you may not have converted it to the proper format or the name is wrong.

such as if the name it is looking for is logo_header.jpg and you changed it to logo.gif, there is you problem again, but that can easyly be changed by going into the css and editing it to the name you want. If not then it is a naming error.

Thanks for all the help guys! i really appreciate it. I checked everything mentioned, it turns out when I changed the text on my image, it more than doubled the file size(4kbto11). It obviously won't fit in the allocated space.

It's hard to tell if whether you're a male or a female by your username. :D

Perhaps we need to install a gender mod here. :D


I'm curious about why the filesize would stop a logo from loading though. I understand that it would take a lot longer to load, but it should still load.
