Graphics instead of BBCode?

I have seen on other vBulletin forums where when you insert an image (or link or smiley) in a reply, post a new thread or even in the signatures the image shows up instead of the bbcode... is this a modification, hack or just something I need to turn on/off in the admincp?

Thanks! :p

If you have your bbcode turned on for users, then when they type value then they will get value. If you don't have it enabled, then they will get value. Same would be true for the image bbcode or any other bbcode.

Yes, I understand that. But, for instance, if I wanted to add an image to this textarea... on some forums, I click on the picture icon, enter the URL and once I click OK the actual picture shows up in the textarea.. not just the https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/ but the actual picture.

Now, I believe this forum here has it so that the signatures have bbcode for images turned off but I saw that a member had an image in there sig, it was tiny but it was an image.

SO this leads me to believe that it isn't hack but a play with code a bit. Otherwise i really don't know and would like to.

Ahhh! That is because those forums have the WYSIWYG editor turned on. You may enable the WYSISYG Controls in in vboptions > Message Posting Interface Options > Enable Clickable Message Formatting Controls (I hope I am understanding you this time.)

Hrm. The WYSIWYG was already enabled.. here is an example of what I am talking about: http://www.digishoptalk.com/boards/index.php. You will probably have to register in order to see what I am talking about; but when you click on the photo icon and enter the URL and click OK... the image actually shows up in the message textarea.. instead of just the [img] tags..?

That happens in the WYSIWYG editor as well. Add an image in the WYSIWYG editor, by using the "picture" button on the toolbar.
