Create a subscription, need help :)

Hi,

maybe i didn't search enough but i don't want to make a mistake so i prefer to ask you the way to do what i want to do.

I want to create a new usergroup with custom permissions of course.
Every new registered user wil lgo in this group of users.
It will allow them to create a thread, see forum and thread but wont be allowed to answer thread, contact members by PM or emails.
To have those rights, they will have to pay a subscription for X months.
Once the subscription is paid, they are automatically part of another group of users (that have al lthe rights they didn't have before)

When the subscription end, they can renew it, and if they don't, they go back automatically in the limited usergroup.

It seems simple to do (i guess it is) but i don't know how :p

And as a matter of fact, i tried one time as a demo to create subscription, but i don't know where the option to pay appears for the members. I would like to have a message with a link on my forum redirecting to the method to pay, and also have a message with a link to the "palce" we can pay when they click to post a message or contact a member but can't do it (by defaut there is"you don't have engouh permissions etc. but it's not enough specific)

thx

Change the "Registered Users" usergroup with your limited permissions. Create a second usergroup with the "elevated" permissions. Then use the Paid Subscriptions feature to allow members to be promoted.

thx but like i said i don't know where appears the option to pay for members on the forum :(

User CP > Paid Subscriptions

This is where your members pay for subscriptions. It only appears if you have active subscriptions.

i don't understand. I created a test subscription, i made it active, but i really appears nowhere for members, not even in the usercp. Nothing to pay to subscription, nothing to see a menu link to that, nada :(
I tried adding payments.php at the end but it doesn't work either.

Try viewing on the vBulletin default style, because it definitely works if you have set it up properly.

Have a read through this, as it may help with some of your problems:

I think Goodman2020 is looking for the place where the users go to actually make a payment

It's at:
http://yourforum.com/payments.php

You can find it in UserCP -> Paid Subscriptions (on the bottom of the options on the left in http://yourforum.com/usercp.php)

You also need (in your AdminCP) to create a Paid Subscription, with description and price, and activate a Payment API such as paypal by entering your email address for your paypal account and clicking 'yes' under active.

Unless a payment method is activated the test subscription will not show up on payments.php

thank you!!!!!! i suceeded!! it was the API thing the problem! thank you so much, i was losing my hair lol
