vB Frappr Member Map (Google Earth)
 

This hack is my first hack, I made this because I couldn't get either of the other member maps to work and it is a lot easier and will work on ANY version of vB.

Download the file for installation instructions.



NOTE: If you need to change the size of the map just find "width" and "height" values in the template titled "custom_membermap".

Here is a lovely example given to me by someone who followed the directions really well :)

How is the location determined ?

IP selected or user selected ?

User selected, you can just put in your city, or your zip code or you can put in your complete address and it will put it on your house.

um - there's only an .rtf file in the uploaded zip?!?!?
Oh! nevermind = instructions - you may consider uploading a .txt file for those who don't have word...
Anyway - the only thing about frappr map is that ANYONE can add a marker. I like the vBGoogleMember map Member edition, as it is for Forum Members ONLY - unfortunately can't get it to work either...

No, on mine I put the site nav bar only accessible by members so they can't find the link unless they are registered:)

O MAN Sweet... I hope this works with VB 3.5x .. Also can this be used for businesses rather then members? Also will you be keeping this hack alive with enhancements ?
