Oops. I'm a newbie and I messed something up!
Okay, I wrote a piece of code for the memberlist.php that is supposed to sort a custom field using the letter sort at the top. It appeared to be working just fine. In fact, I posted it (my first post, so I was quite proud;)) here.
However, upon further "clicking" I ran into some issues. It appears that when you do a memberlist search, that is when the problems happen. I got a vBulletin message that said I had profile fields to update. Even though I did not, I went to the edit page and clicked "save" so that I could get by that message. Then, I found that the sort had reverted back to the default (by username) and the custom field column I had added in the front (last name) was back to it's original spot after the username, instead of before it. I am a newbie and these kinds of things scare me. But, hopefully someone with more experience can figure out what I did wrong. If you need to see more of my code than what is in the link above, please let me know. Thanks for any help you can give me!!! |
