Hello,

I am unable to find any mention of the error in the logs.

If you just changed the nameservers and the IP address from your previous
server/host, then it could have been a migration related issue.

It's best to allow 24 hours for proper propagation.

Are you still having the errors?

Regards,
I'm the Admin of course.

Are you hitting your server's actual DNS name, or with the IP of the new box? If it's the IP, then your cookiedomain will be incorrect until your DNS starts resolving.

What server errors do you get, specifically?

I was able to post once then got this error, same error message everytime.

Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@carolinak5.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

There is nothing you can do Don this is a server issue and liquidweb will have to investigate the problem.

OK, I've narrowed it down to this......... I can enter text, but any other entry gets the error message. A smilie, a link, a photo gets the error message.

I sent this same message to the Host tech support.

OK, logging on as a user I use to test things sometimes...............

As a "Member" or as a "registered user" there is no smilie box, or a toolbar (insert photo, link etc ). Perhaps that's why when I use them as a Admin (I can view them) I get an error message.

This in no way appears to be a DNS migration issue.

As vBulletin is giving a generic error, I am having difficulties diagnosing it
even though I can duplicate the problems.

Currently, there is no log info on the errors. Server error can mean anything
from permissions to configuration. There is even a chance that this could be a
compatibility issue between vBulletin and the software running on the shared
server versus what was running on the previous one.

The additional items missing on user logins may also be due to this.

vBulletin is third party software, and as such is only covered by our best
effort policy.

You are using vBulletin 3.6.8 Patch Level 2. Do you happen to know this
version's requirements?

There aren't any in the webmaster@carolinak5.com mailbox.

You may want to disable your modifications and use a default style. If your problem still continues you can contact vBulletin support and they will be able to provide you with exact support. I think it might be something like to with your server settings like mod_security or something like, but Marco knows more about that then me so I won't try and give you support with that.
