Seo or no?

hi

Do you think we can be very well indexed on search engine and have a very good page rank (why not number 1 one day :D) if we don't use seo hacks like vbseo or nuseo? vbulletin forums are enough or no honestly?

thx

Yea, I don't have vbSEO or anyone and my site is getting up there in terms of searches but it does dramatically improve your rankings, especially for forum owners who need lots of financing, etc. A small timer might not need it unless he plans to make his site very popular. I myself would like to buy vbSEO as soon as I get the money. If you plan to keep your board small, you could just do some manual improvements and what not...

no i want it big... very big :D (and it will be :D ... i hope)

As everyone would (I imagine)....it's a great investment from user reviews...vbSEO is the best by far...

www.vbseo.com ...you can chat with people there and hear their experiences.

i know the link, but i don't believe the "testimonials" (fake for most of them im sure) :)

No matter how many different ways you ask the same question, you're going to keep getting the same answers.

The testomonials at both sites are 100% real i'm sure. If not I'm sure it'd be considered false advertisements which would open them to legal action.

Yes you can achieve well indexed sites without using either product. But if your competitor does everything exactly the same as you, I'd expect their site to rank higher no matter which SEO option they choose.

vbSEO is a heck of a lot more than just content relevant URLs, but I suppose you know that already. On page SEO doesn't mean what it used to in terms of search engine rankings, and there will always be guys bending the rules in ways that you can't keep up with in order to get the more competitive rankings.

I think it's good to think forward in terms of inbound traffic and revenue, but there is more to building a community than just being found.

If you get something like vbSEO from the start, you'll have less to worry about later on. And if you're thinking about it now, you'll probably be distracted by a need to keep checking it out for a while - so why not just plunk down the money and get it working?

However, there is something to be said for cautious spending. Communities are not money making machines and it'll be a while before you earn enough back to pay for vBulletin, let alone another add-on package. The club of forum owners who earn less than a hundred per month is very large, and the guys who make more than $10,000 a month are few and far between - though they are out there.
