3.6 vs 3.7
 

I am setting up a new site, firts time in 12 and before that about 24 months. I need to give the users a few things including -
custom titles per user set by the forum administrator
a forum rank icon set by the forum administrator
opportunity to upload custom avatar of themselves
a few stock avatars they can choose from
awards assigned by the forum administrators

Before I ran through the ton of mods here, grabbed mods to do these, and installed them.


Has anything changed in 3.7 that makes any of these steps out fo the box, or a different way to do these steps? I see a few things added in the Control panel, but it looks like most of this is just grabbed the same 3.x mods I used previously and run with them

Nope, everything from 3.6 has basically passed on...3.7 has brought new features instead such as Social Networking, Photo Galleries, Bookmarking Capabilities, Custom Notice Features, Wider Range of custom made templates (e.g. Advertisement Space Template) for easier editing and much more. 3.7 is still a beta but many have moved over including me...I like it so far, no hitches really so give it a try.
