usergroup promotion by social groups
If you could add a user to another usergroup when they join a specific social group, then it would enable us to base forum permissions off of this. Seems like it would be an excellent project for someone who wants to have a play about working with the new social groups part of Vbulletin V3.7.
Reason I'm after this rather than simply using the joinable usergroup feature, is that I would like all the social group features that go with it. Also the access to a specific forum could in effect be in the hands of a member without them being a mod..... EG:- Someone sets up a group called spammers society, I could set in the admincp a promotion system that anyone becoming a member of this group is added to the spammer usergroup ..... Also anyone removed from this group would be demoted from the spammer usergroup. Anyone fancy a go? |
