Impossible to have plugins?

Is it possible for plugins to just not work at all on a forum?

All the hacks I had added to my forum had been functioning well for the past several months. Then, since yesterday, I'm getting a plethora of blank white pages that go away when disabling the plugin system. When I re-enable it, and allow for just ONE, seemingly simple, harmless plugin, just one, the pages start going blank white again. I totally disable every single plugin, the white pages go away.

Is this common?

I ask because, its seems that most, if not all, people using vbulletin can run, at least, one plugin on their system. At least one. This site is basically a testament to that - that it is possible.

What could possibly cause my forum to be so sensitive to plugins, that, when allowing even one, the white pages start taking over?

Did you install a new plug in mod when this happened or it just randomly happened after a while?

well, i had always gotten white pages with certain plugin installations - when i was able to determine which plugin was causing the problem, i'd just disable that plugin, and then everything would seem to work okay again.

i had, recently, installed two spam prevention mods - those were the latest two i installed. there were no blank page issues until, approximately, two days after installation of those spam prevention mods- and so i disabled both those products, seeing they were the last two i had installed.

however, i am still getting the white pages, even when enabling a single plugin. the plugin system seems so incompatible with my forum - it's really odd. if it works for all other forums, i question why it won't work for mine.

are there any possible remedies / troubleshoots?
