Need small images in thread/post titles

Hi! Is there anyone who could help me figure out how to allow html or vb code in the thread Title so that images could be inserted into the post subject title? I found an old hack but its from so long ago that the code no longer applies. I'd probably only want to allow admin, mods and selected users to be able to do this, so it would need some sort of user group permissions. I'd really appreciate any help with this!! :)
