Updating my RSS Feed output after editing or removing a post

Hi All

I have used the RSS feed mod to include an RSS feed for each section of my forum. I pull this information to other sites I have to help bring new members to my forum.

I have a small issue in that sometimes the odd spammer gets through the loop for a few hours before I ban and clean them. I notice that once I have removed the post or edited a terrible subject line that the RSS feed remains the same.

I have tried cleaning the post cache after editing and this had no effect. I have cleared the cache locally and this didn't change anything.

Can someone shed some light on how to achieve updating of the information on the RSS page after edits and deletions have been done. I have set up empty cache features on my sites that pull in the feed so we can quickly have them removed from there but they can't remove them if they are still showing on my forums rss pages.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

run the cron job that puts out the RSS info again.

Though if they download the RSS each time it updates, and store local copies of it, i don't think you'll be able to do much about it.

Thanks. I tried that but it did not alter the page that was there before it was updated. Maybe my server is caching. I have made a cache refresh on the sites pulling the data so as long as it updates on the forum itself the feeds pulling it will get updated data.

I also wonder if there's a simple way to only pull data to the RSS page that is {ServerDate} minus 24 hrs. Therefore anything that comes in that might be spam or needs fixing would be able to be fixed over a 24 hr period before it is sent out.

I suppose I can just set the cron job for once every 24 hrs and that will have the same effect?

Actually I think I was running the wrong cron job. Can you tell me where to find this in admin. I can see the scheduled tasks and I have a cron for inserting RSS feeds into my board but can't see on there fore creating the RSS feeds from my board

Many thanks
